Bathroom is a place where your child may get injured due to the presence of various elements which can be handled by adults only. Use the bath tub thermostat to know the temperature of the water because water which may not feel hot to you can be scalding hot for the baby. Also the use of baby bath seat is beneficial for you as well as for the baby because it becomes easier for you to wash him and also it prevents your baby from slipping in.

- Hot taps are very risky. As the skin of a baby is very sensitive and thin and it can get burnt very easily. So it is suggested that you check the temperature of the water by dipping your elbow in the water and not the hand because what may feel hot to your hand may prove to be extremely hot for the baby. You can also use a thermometer. Also try and use the cool body technology for taps wherein the body of the tap remains cool despite the water being hot.
- Your baby’s fingeres might get crushed under the regular toilet seat. In order to prevent this either use a baby proof toilet seat lock or the soft close toilet seats which provide slow opening and closing of the seat.
- Even a small amount of water can cause drowning when it comes to babies. Never leave your little one unattended despite the fact that you may have taken all the necessary precautions.
- Baby proof cabinet locks should be used for your vanity. All items that should be out of the reach of your kid are scissors, razors, bleach powder, perfumes and other toiletries. Because what seems harmless to adults may prove dangerous and life threatening for babies.
- Lastly, use a non-slip mat in the tub even if you are using a baby seat or you are holding your baby and even if he/she can stand on their own because the surface of the tub gets slippery when water is poured. Therefore, extra caution is required.
