Blanching of Almonds

This is one of the most common ways of peeling off the skin of almonds. Blanching is the process of soaking almonds in hot water. Start by taking a handful of almonds, then heat the water. Once the water is heated, add those almonds to the hot water. Sometimes, the skin of the almonds can be easily peeled off.

Boiling Water

Keeping almonds in boiling water also helps in peeling the skin. Once the water is boiling, add a handful of almonds. Then take them out. Putting them in boiling water will help peel off the skin.

Putting Almonds in Cold Water

Putting almonds in cold water after taking them out of hot water also helps in peeling off the skin of the almonds. Reportedly, the skin easily comes off once the heated almonds are put into cold water immediately.

Microwave

Place almonds in water and microwave on high for 1 minute. Do not boil the water. When hot, take it out carefully and put it in cold water to peel off the skin.
