How To Get Rid Of Excessive Odour From Your Bathroom In Winter

Social media platforms are full of funny videos related to the fear of cold water in winter. And we cannot deny the fact that most of us intend to stay away from water as much as we can in winter. Taking a shower itself is a herculean task during the cold months, let alone cleaning your bathroom. Keeping your bathroom spick and span is an important part of hygiene but many tend to avoid it for weeks in a row due to the phobia of handling cold water. This can cause stinking or even diseases. We are listing out a few ways you can keep your bathroom clean without having to resort to the use of cold water.

Use a dry cloth to wipe down any dust or dirt that may have gotten on the bathroom’s walls, windows or wash basin glass. You won’t need to add water to clean it in the cold if you repeat this every two days.

Use vinegar or lemon juice mixed with hot water to clean bathroom tiles that have gotten discoloured and have moss growing on them. This will also get rid of the germs and fungi. You won’t feel cold if you wear gloves while performing all of these jobs that involve water.

You can also use a bleach and lukewarm water mixture to clean the floor. Wipe the floor with a cloth dipped in this water. This will get rid of the floor’s grime, darkness, and unpleasant odour.

Use baking soda if the bathroom is smelling unpleasant. Disperse baking soda all over the bathroom. Next, use hot water to clean the bathroom.

People frequently keep all of their windows closed for many days during the colder months. As a result, the house can no longer receive fresh air from the outside and begins to smell damp. You ought to open the bathroom window for a while to let some fresh air in and expel the odor

If the toilet has an unpleasant odour and you are too busy or don’t feel like cleaning it, try sprinkling a room freshener inside the toilet. If there is an excessive smell, sprinkle it three times a day.
