16 Movies you can’t miss watching in 2018

Aren’t we all excited to know what the new year will bring us? For all the long weekends lined up, we have an amazing plan for you. Here’s a list of the movies that you wouldn’t want to miss watching during the year.

1. Pad Man

Pad Man is a biographical comedy-drama directed by R.Balki; featuring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. The film is based on Twinkle Khanna’s book ‘The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad’ and is scheduled to released on 26th Jan this year.

2. Pari

Pari is an upcoming film to be released on 8th Feb this year. Directed by Prosit Roy, the film has Anushka Sharma playing the lead role. It is her 3rd film with her own production house.

3. Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo: A Star Wars Story is an upcoming American Space film based on Han Solo. The film is directed by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Ron Howard. It will be releasing on 25th May.

4. Padmavat

Bollywood’s possibly most awaited film ‘Padmavati’ will finally release without the “I” in Feb this year. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Padmavat” has Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor playing the lead roles.

5. Baaghi 2

Baaghi 2 is a film based on martial arts. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film will feature Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in the lead. It is the sequel of the 2016 film Baaghi.

6. X-Men: Dark Phoenix

X-Men is a superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics intended to be the 13th instalment in the X-Men series. The film is directed by Simon Kinberg and will be released on 2nd November.

7. Raazi

Raazi is a thriller film that has Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal playing the lead. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is an adaption of Harinder Sikka’s book ‘Calling Sehmat’. It is a story of a Kashmiri girl who is married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.

8. Veere Di Weeding

Veere Di Wedding is a chick-flick meets rom-com directed by Shanshanka Ghosh and will star Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.

9. Thugs Of Hindostan

Thugs Of Hindostan is a film based on Philip Meadow Taylor’s novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’. It is an epic period action adventure directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and will star Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

10. Total Dhamaal

Total Dhamaal is a Bollywood comedy directed by Indra Kumar. It is the sequel of 2011’s Double Dhamaal that is scheduled to release on 7th December. Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad warsi, Ashish Chaudhary and Javed Jaaferi reprise their roles. The film will also have Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn to add a Dhamaal factor.

11. Zero

Zero is a comedy drama film that will be directed by Anand L Rai and we can’t wait to watch Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma play the lead roles. It is set to release in December this year.

12. Insidious: The Last Key

Insidious: The Last Key is the fourth film in the Insidious horror franchise. It is written and directed by Leigh Whannell who was also the director of the previous three chapters of the Insidious series.

13. Simmba

Simmba is an upcoming action-drama directed by Rohit Shetty. The film is inspired from the Telugu blockbuster ‘Temper’ and will have Ranveer Singh in the lead role.

14. A Wrinkle In Time

A Wrinkle In Time is a film based on the science fantasy novel directed by Ava DuVernay. The film will be releasing on 9th March. Who can say no to sci-fi?

15. Deadpool 2

Guess who’s back? Deadpool 2 is a superhero film based on Marvel Comics. It is releasing on the 31st May.

16. Ocean’s 8

Ocean’s 8 is an upcoming spinoff film related to Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s trilogy. The film stars Sandra Bullock and is set to release on 8th June. Who wouldn’t want to see an all women team?
