Summer is always a good time to get away from the heat of the cities and go somewhere where you can rest and feel refreshed all of the time.
In India, there are numerous interesting spots to visit. But in this blog, we’ve chosen some of the most underappreciated spots that you’ve probably never heard of. So, if you’ve been longing to plan the ultimate summer vacation, keep reading! We feel that these locations will be ideal for spending your summer vacation, even if only for a few days.
Refreshing places to visit this summer:
Nandi Hills
This is an excellent tourism destination for anyone residing in or near Bangalore. The place is famous among Bangalore residents, and if you’re new to the city, this is the spot to start for a short but rejuvenating holiday. On your visit to Nandi Hills, you can participate in a variety of exciting activities. Paragliding and cycling through the nature of this beautiful hill station are the ideal two activities for adventure seekers.
How to reach Nandi Hills:
Trains can take you to Chikkaballapur, which is 9 kilometres from Nandi Hills. You can also fly to Bangalore first and then take a bus or cab to this location. If none of the previous options appeals to you, hire a cab (if you don’t have a car) and take a road journey to Nandi Hills.
Things you can do at Nandi Hills:
* Paragliding
* Visit Tipu’s drop
* Biking or cycling through the nature
Ideal duration for the trip – One to two days is enough to explore everything in Nandi Hills
Dalhousie
Dalhousie appears to be more akin to a little European countryside. You will never believe that such a place exists in India, and we know since we didn’t either. This place is in the lower area of Uttarakhand and is an excellent holiday spot for anyone who lives nearby. There are no words to convey the grandeur of this underappreciated Indian hill station. What we can say is that it is heaven. If you could, and if you wanted to after visiting, you could probably live here indefinitely.
How to reach Dalhousie:
You can fly to Dalhousie from the nearest airport in Gaggal, which is 75 kilometres away. You can also take a bus from the nearest railway station, Pathankot, to Dalhousie. It is a long road trip from the nearest city, Delhi, but if you prefer, you can take this route as well.
Things you can do at Dalhousie:
* Camping in the woods
* Trekking through the beautiful forest area
* River rafting to get a good look at the beautiful lakes
Ideal duration for the trip – Two to three will be enough if you just want to explore the place. But you can opt to stay however long you want.
Mussoorie
Mussoorie isn’t exactly an underrated summer destination. But you can’t deny that it’s one of the nicest places to visit, not just this summer, but any summer. The location is at a height of 7000 feet above land and is unquestionably the finest option if you like breathtaking views of mountains and clouds over anything else. Furthermore, there are many more free sites to visit Mussoorie than many popular places, so why pass up the opportunity?
How to reach Mussoorie:
Mussoorie, unlike the other sites mentioned above, is relatively easy to access from any area of India. You only need to take a train or a plane to get to the nearest city, Dehradun. You can then take a taxi to Mussoorie, which is only 34 kilometres away.
Things you can do at Mussoorie:
* Visit the Kempty falls
* Walk and hike to explore the beauty
* Go zip lining for a thrilling and refreshing adventure experience
Ideal duration for the trip – Around three days is enough to explore the important places in Mussoorie
