4 Feel-Happy Hormones You Should Know

Happiness symbolizes a well-satisfied life but then humans would go through hard times where they worry a lot, which in turn they forget to see the goodness of their life.

Of course, life is full of pinnacles and troughs but then we should not forget to smile or laugh in our day-to-day life. But still, there are four happy hormones that humans should know about in their life. The hormones which determine human happiness are as follows – Endorphins, Dopamine, Serotonin, and Oxytocin. And we humans need all these four hormones to stay happy in our life. Let’s have a sneak peek into the four feel-happy hormones.

ENDORPHINS:

The word endorphins come from the words ‘endogenous’ which means within the body and ‘morphine’ which is known as an opiate pain reliever. And that the hormone is called the natural pain reliever. They are found in activities related to eating, drinking, physical fitness, and sexual intercourse. They help in reducing body pain and give pleasure to you. It also helps the body to cope with the pain of exercising because these endorphins would make us happy. Well, laughter is yet another healthy way to generate hormones and you just need to exercise at least half an hour every day and watch or listen to funny kinds of stuff to imbibe your daily endorphins.

DOPAMINE:

We would definitely feel sudden happiness when we buy new materials such as a brand new car or anything we yearn for. This happens because of the release of dopamine. It is a chemical naturally found in the human body and is known to be a neurotransmitter which means it sends a signal from the body to the brain. The healthy balancing of dopamine would be helpful for both the physical and mental well-being of a person. Even if you are appreciated at your workplace or for any other tasks in your life, it does release various levels of dopamine.

SEROTONIN:

Like other hormones, serotonin is a happy chemical which is helpful in the well-being of the person. It is mostly found in blood platelets, brains and bowels and it is released when we act or try to benefit others such as nature or society. It could also be spreading knowledgeable information through the internet or in-person to others which produces serotonin. The reason is that we spend our time helping others in life.

OXYTOCIN:

Referred to as the love hormone, oxytocin is associated with childbirth and breastfeeding and also with empathy, trust, sexual activity and building your relationship as well. It is referred to as the love hormone because it is released during the time of hugging your loved ones and also at the time of orgasms. It is also assisted in treating depression, anxiety, and intestinal problems as well. Oxytocin is released at various levels while you are shaking hands or in your arms around loved ones.
