LAZY OLD FASHIONED
The old fashioned is the world’s favourite cocktail and Monkey was made for this long standing classic. But this whisky cocktail need not be hard work so indulge into creating this for your mates this festive season.
Ingredients
50 ml Monkey Shoulder Original
10ml Sugar Syrup
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
Orange zest & twist
Method
Add Monkey Shoulder, sugar syrup and angostura bitters to a mixing glass.
Add ice and stir until dilution is reached
Strain into glass and add a garnish of orange zest and twist
XV CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
Ingredients
15ml Chivas XV
3 dashes Angostura bitters
1 sugar cube
Top with champagne
Method
Drop sugar cubes into a champagne flute, then add Angostura bitters on top. Then add 15ml Chivas XV to it. Top with champagne and serve.
GINGER MONKEY
A crowd pleasing favourite, there is no more perfect pairing than Monkey Shoulder whisky, ginger ale and orange. The easiest of drinks to make, tastes like…OMG! (Orange / Monkey / Ginger).
Ingredients
50 ml Monkey Shoulder Original
120ml Dry Ginger Ale
1 Orange Wedge
Method
Fill a long glass with ice
Pour in Monkey Shoulder and dry ginger ale
Gently stir and garnish with the orange wedge
MONKEY JAM SOUR
Everyone loves a classic whisky sour, but the brand gave it that monkey shoulder spin with a dollop of mouthwatering jam. Tastes like whisky and donuts and you will definitely love it.
Ingredients
50 ml Monkey Shoulder Original
20ml Fresh lemon juice
2 tsp Jam
Dash of orange bitters
1 egg white or 2 tbsp of aquafaba (optional)
Method
Add all ingredients to a shaker
Add fresh ice and shake
Strain into an ice-filled glass
ESPRESSO MARTINI – SIGNATURE RECIPE
Ingredients
Jameson Caskmates Stout – 45ml
Coffee Liqueur – 15ml
Espresso – 30ml
Sugar syrup – 5ml
Saline Solution – 3 drops
Method
Add all ingredients in desired quantities in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Double strain in a chilled Coupe glass and garnish with 3 coffee beans and serve.
