Want to rid your home of rats? Besides posing health risks, the rodents shred clothes, leave dropping in dark corners and one does not really like being jump-scared in one’s own home.
Many people try various methods to get rid of rats, but most remedies either rely on chemicals or fail to eliminate the problem completely. If you are also struggling with rat infestation, there’s no need for expensive chemicals or mousetraps now. You can get rid of them by using camphor.
How to use camphor to get rid of rats?
The strong smell of camphor is unbearable for rats, causing them to flee. Using camphor is a natural, safe and cost-effective solution to drive rats out of your home.
Start by adding camphor to the cleaning water; you can place 4-5 pieces of camphor in a bucket of water. Mop the entire house with this solution, paying special attention to areas where rats are most active, such as the kitchen, storeroom, or near the doors. You can also place small pieces of camphor in the corners of the house where rats often attempt to enter.
If you have limited supply of camphor, you can mix mint oil in it. As you mop with the camphor-infused water, the smell will deter the rats, prompting them to look for areas that don’t smell of camphor. With regular use of this solution in your cleaning routine, rats will gradually leave your home.
