Days after actor Alia Bhatt tested positive for COVID-19, Akshay Kumar has confirmed on social media that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus as well. Kumar and Bhatt are just two of the many celebrities who have been affected by the second wave of the novel coronavirus. “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon,” Kumar wrote in a post on social media.
Kumar has always been a busy actor but even the lockdown hasn’t deterred him. He’s been shooting multiple projects including Atrangi Re and Bell Bottom. The actor is currently working on Ram Setu.
