There’s no excuse not to wear sunscreen. It is an all year long beauty essential to keep your skin safe from UV sun rays.
It does not only help in safeguarding your skin from harmful sun exposure but protect from risk of cancer.
It keeps even skin tone and also reduces skin inflammation.
Sunscreen is vital just as much as you need a moisturiser to maintain skin health. But are you applying your sunscreen correctly? Let’s find out…
Step 1: Choose a right sunscreen that fits your skin type. Check the consistency, and ensure it protects UVA and UVB rays. Choose a sunscreen that contents SPF 30.
Step 2: Ensure that you apply your sunscreen 15 to 30 minutes before going outside so that the sunscreen will absorb into your skin.
Step 3: Apply generously to key areas such as face, neck, hand, feet and ears.
Step 4: Applying once in a day doesn’t count. Make sure to reapply sunscreen every after two hours. And more frequently if you’re sweating or swimming as that will wash away sunscreen.
Step 5: If you’re a make up enthusiast, apply sunscreen first and follow with makeup.
