Curd To Maida, Say No To These 5 Foods Before Going To Bed

It is extremely important for everyone to have a healthy and balanced diet, along with an active lifestyle. Proper intake of nutrition keeps one fit. While it is extremely crucial to keep a check on what we eat throughout the day, it is equally important to get a proper sleep. Before going to bed at night, we should pay attention to the kind of food we are eating, so that nothing interferes with our digestion process and we can get a good night’s sleep. According to Ayurveda, here are a few food items that you must avoid at night:

Curd

It is best to avoid the intake of curd at night. According to Ayurvedic experts, curd can increase Kapha and Pitta Dosh in the body. It means it can lead to the formation of mucus in the nasal passages, which can lead to coughing.

Wheat

Ayurvedic experts believe that anything made of wheat takes more time for the body to digest, especially at night. Hence one must avoid eating rotis or puri at night. Instead, have easily digestible foods.

Salads

Salads are considered to be great for health, because of all the vegetables, nuts and fruits that are incorporated in them. The digestion process slows down at night. Ayurvedic experts suggest instead of eating raw fruits and vegetables, it’s better to have boiled food to accelerate the digestion process.

Maida

Maida is basically refined flour. It is not considered good for health due to its low nutritional value. However, if you’re still preparing a dish with maida, make sure to not eat at night. Experts believe that this refined flour is difficult to digest and can cause issues with digestion, which can lead to constipation

Salty foods

Avoid high-sodium foods at night, especially fried and junk food items. For example, pizza, burgers, frozen meat, and deep-fried food. Intake of these kinds of food after sundown can pose a risk to our body. Try to avoid this food in general. If you are still craving junk food, it’s best to have it before sundown.
