How to Bulletproof Your Relationship

Relationship is fragile, and unfortunately, there are no heavy suitcases wherein you can store it and stick a tag that says, ‘warning: fragile item’. While you may be thinking that your relationship is strong and no bullet can ever pierce through it, think again. Is your relationship as bulletproof as you think it is? Is it possible that the slightest of things could snap the two of you and before dawn one would be walking out, to be gone forever?

Here’s how you can bulletproof your relationship.

Be the First

If you really mean how much you say you love him or her, then do not turn your relationship into a war of the egos. If the two of you turn towards your own directions and refuse to make peace after a bout of quarrel, then we are sorry to say that your relationship can never prosper. You have to be the one to reach out, the one to break the ice, so if you love your partner, then just kiss and make up. If you hug your spouse, let them be the first one to leave.

The Kitchen Slab looks Neat

Sex plays a major role in your relationship. Hence, do not make it a boring experience by including it in your calendar or by just releasing your sexual frustration in the bed. It’s called making love, please do so and do it everywhere possible. If the kitchen slab has just been cleaned, then hop on it with your lover. Nothing like watching the chicken in the oven and being assured that there is something to eat after getting exhausted! Find other places like the bathroom, the sofa in the living room, the garden in the back yard or may be the store room. To make love, you’ve gotta find love and time. Voila! if you do strike the balance!

Technology can Wait

Technology has made modern life much easier , but one must not forget that we are killing ourselves with entertainment and technology. Social networking, videos, chats and all the other applications that are there for us leave us with no time for ourselves or our loved ones. It is important that you let go of this fascination for technology and give your lover some time. Stay as a couple, do things that couples do and by that we do not mean chatting on instant messengers and Facebook alone.

Say Yes!

It is quite sad when all you do most times is disagree with your partner, which is not how it is supposed to be. Apart from only remarking sexual satisfaction with a yes, try and use it at other times too. You have to be more supportive and understanding. A constant ‘NO’ glowing on your forehead can be very frustrating. This way your lover will begin loving (once more!) the person he or she is and will know that there is respect for his or her opinions and decisions.

The Subject of Free-Will

Unlike your relationship with your family and immediate relatives, the relationship with your spouse is borne out of free-will. Thus, it is you who is responsible for the ups and downs that swing you round-and-round in the whirlpool of relationships.

The character Noah from the film The Notebook, tells his lover Allie, “It’s gonna be really hard, and we’re gonna have to work at this every day. But I wanna do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day.” It’s not as easy as it was when you went to the films together on Winter breaks, isn’t it? But that is what they call love.
