To make a rava bonda, you need wheat flour, cumin seeds, green chilli, ginger paste, onions, coriander leaves, rava, curd and water.

To cook rava bonda, add rava and wheat flour to the mixing bowl.

Mix it properly.

After some time, add salt, cumin seeds, chopped green chilli, ginger paste, red chilli flakes, chopped onion and curd in the mixing bowl.

Make the batter thicker by adding some water gradually.

Try not to mix large amounts of water at once.

Whisk the batter for 3-4 minutes in one direction to make the insides of the bonda softer.

Cover the batter for 15-20 minutes. It will make the rava spongy and will puff up after frying.

Add the baking soda to the batter and mix well.

Place the pan on the gas and pour some oil in it.

After heating the oil, take a spoon or a round-shaped ladle, fetch some batter from the mixing bowl and drop it in the pan.

Keep the flame on medium and fry it till the rava fritter becomes crispy and golden brown on both sides.

After frying, drain the bonda with tissue paper and keep it on the tray.

Repeat the process for all the fritters.

Make sure you place it carefully in the pan to avoid getting burnt. Serve the rava bonda with a coconut chutney, tomato chutney or sauce. You can also use refined wheat flour instead of wheat flour. In terms of quantity, always remember that the proportion of curd in the batter should be half of rava or semolina.
