Try This Easy-to-make Spicy Oat Pancake For A Healthy Breakfast

Oats are among the healthiest grains in the world because of their nutritional and cholesterol-lowering properties. It contains fibre, magnesium, complex carbohydrates and other nutrients that help keep your stomach full and avoid overeating. It is said that there is no particular time for eating oats, as you can consume this gluten-free grain for lunch and dinner too. People usually consume Oatmeal in the morning to energise themselves for the day.

People cook oats in milk and eat them as a sweet dish or sometimes prefer having it salty. Numerous dishes can be made of oats. One of them is Spicy Oat Pancakes. This healthy breakfast is yummy and carries numerous nutritional properties. You can make this dish at home by following this simple recipe.

Before preparing the spicy Oat Pancake, you need to first arrange a few ingredients such as wheat flour, regular oats, onion, egg, milk, capsicum, carrot, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cumin powder, and chilli powder.

To begin the preparation of this breakfast meal, you must pour the oats into the mixer and grind them.

Add cumin powder, baking powder, baking soda, and wheat flour to the mixture.

Mix the ingredients well with either a spoon or hand.

Take another bowl and add buttermilk, egg, and chopped onion. Mix the ingredients well.

After preparing the batter, you must add this to the dry mixture of oats.

Add chopped carrots, capsicum, and salt as per taste and mix. After preparing the batter for the oat pancake, place a pan on the gas and pour some oil in it as per your requirement. You can also add butter to the pan if you want to avoid oil.

When the oil or butter becomes hot, pour one tablespoon of oats solution.

Cook until bubbles start appearing on the surface.

Make sure the flame is low to prevent yourself from burning.

Turn and cook the other side until it turns golden brown.

Handle the pancake with care, so that it doesn’t break in the pan.

After it attains a golden brown colour, you must take it out on a plate. You can serve it hot with sauce or green chutney.
