Despite its popularity, some individuals choose to avoid it. Here is a pudalangai kootu recipe designed for those who prefer an alternative approach.

Prepare a delightful pudalangai kootu that even those with reservations will relish. Here’s what you’ll need:

– Buttercup – 1

– Tomato – 1 (chopped)

– Onion – 1 (chopped)

– Garlic – 10 cloves

– Chili powder – 3/4 spoon

– Coriander – 1/2 spoon

– Turmeric powder – 2 pinches

– Ghee – 2 tbsp

– Mustard – 1/4 tsp

– Fenugreek – 1/4 tsp

– Cumin – 1/4 tsp

– Caraway – a bunch

– Salt – as needed

– Coriander – a handful-sized.

Here are the steps to cook the dish –

1. Start by thoroughly cleaning the mutton and peeling its skin.

2. Proceed to slice the plantain, placing it in a mixer jar for a water-free grinding into two pieces.

3. In an oven-heated pan, introduce ghee and incorporate mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, and more.

4. Once the mustard seeds have spluttered, introduce finely chopped onion and curry leaves, along with thoroughly mashed garlic.

5. Once these are well-fried, incorporate the ground ginger, adding chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and the necessary amount of salt.

6. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, cover, and let it cook for five minutes.

7. After the initial five minutes, blend the finely ground tomatoes and mix thoroughly. Pour some oil, cover, and let it cook for an additional five minutes.

8. Once done, sprinkle a handful of finely chopped coriander leaves, and your delectable Putalangai Koku is ready.

9. Serve this delightful dish with idli, dosa, chapati, or rice.
