Better sleep

The habit of consuming caffeine can harm the sleep cycle; it has been seen that taking 2-3 cups of caffeine every day can drastically affect sleep, it may cause restless sleep and daytime drowsiness. Not having tea can help with an uninterrupted sleep.

Balanced hormones

Experts say that women can get the benefit of going caffeine-free. Not only tea but other beverages like soda can alter their oestrogen levels, which can be concerning for their health and can increase the chances of getting sick. Tea can also worsen the condition of menopause symptoms.

Low blood pressure

Quitting tea can help regulate the blood pressure level. Caffeine causes hypertension due to the stimulatory effect it has on the nervous system. Having 3-4 cups of tea can increase cholesterol levels.

Pregnant women or nursing mothers are advised to consume tea at a limit as too much tea can harm the growing baby and people who are suffering from anaemia and iron deficiency should also avoid tea as it can increase the chances of worsening the condition.

If you have decided to cut off tea completely from your diet, you can try other healthy alternatives of tea like peppermint tea, chamomile tea, ginger tea, apple tea, cranberry tea, honey cinnamon and lemon water.
