Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government, clarified the situation regarding the holding of IPL matches. He said, “The IPL event has been approved. But the matches will be organized with numerical rules. The spectators will not be allowed to go to the stadium. The players and the rest of the staff will have to be isolated in the bio bubble.
The BCCI also demanded vaccine for the players. Nawab Malik said, “The BCCI wanted all the players to get vaccinated.” But this could not happen due to ICMR guidelines. At present, we cannot apply vaccine to people below 45 years of age. ”
There will be no change in the program
Let me tell you that since the last few days, there are record cases of corona virus in Maharashtra every day. With the return of lockdown in the state, there was a question mark over the matches to be held in Mumbai. There were speculations that matches could be held in Hyderabad instead of Mumbai.
However, the BCCI had already made it clear that there will be no change in the matches to be held in Mumbai. IPL matches are scheduled to be held in Mumbai from April 10 to April 24. The 14th season of the IPL will begin on April 9.
